I love that he has actual Hair and not helmet head. He also has a very beach worthy tan.

Very Awesom

This doll is perfect for my Instagram page. The hair was a little stiff and uneven, but after a shampoo, conditioner and a  trim the hair was great. I didn't particularly like the Velcro clothes, however if this is purchased for a young child the Velcro would be more convenient. So that was not a major issue for me. The doll is well made at a good price,  I also really like the shoes.

Great Bargain

I'm a big fan of the 90's, he reminds me of those good old days, and helps me feel more positive about these days. I've always wanted a long hair Ken,  He Rocks!  I'll be buying 1 or 2 more, my daughter loves him too, was going to keep him in the box, but he's burning a hole through it to get a hair wash, have some hemp jewelry added, with maybe a little 5 o' clock stubble, rips in his shorts, some piercings, tattoos, and his converse turned black, and white.

I know I was raised playing with barbie and Ken dolls with my little sister.this ken doll is by far the most prettiest well made doll I ever held.my son was so happy to get it.as you can tell by his hair  his nick name has been ken for more then a year.my son and the ken doll has the most beautiful hair.very durable doll and a decent size makes playing with it more realistic and fun.well packaged.i watched my son play with this doll for hours walking around the house saying my ken doll.i thank you mattel for allowing me the chance to review it. We love this doll. I saw it in the store and was excited to see it wearing a tie dye shirt. I can't believe how many people are giving this doll bad reviews. Have you never heard of a "hippie"? It looks like a California surfer. I'm sure they would appreciate being referred to as a transvestite. If you don't like the doll then don't buy it, but why try to ruin it for those who like it. It's about time they designed a doll like this. I prefer this doll over the ones that look like they're in a boy band with slicked back plastic hair. This doll is righteous!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this new Ken fashionista doll. The fact that he has real sewn in hair and not the classic hard plastic hair is a definite winner in my book. The hair is a little stringy at first but after washing his hair and conditioning it, it looks beautiful. He definitely doesn't look like any Ken doll I use to play with as a child and thats a good thing. I love that Mattel has really shifted their focus from that 1st barbie and ken dolls we all grew up with and now is producing some beautiful dolls with alot of character.  I love all the new skin tones, hair types, clothing and distinctive features each and everyone of these dolls display. I love their new approach to diversity and I feel that it helps children be able to identify more with the dolls that they are playing with. I know personally growing up and playing with just white barbie dolls with perfect bodies and blonde hair and blue eyes really had me thinking as a child "why does this doll look so different than me?" So the fact that they're more dolls to choose from today that all have different abilities and looks is great for our new generation.  My 4 year old boy loved this doll when he received it and was very curious of his hair.  He looks like a surfer guy or perhaps with different clothing even a rockstar.  His hair really makes him look unique. The clothes is very 70's retro and very hip and cool. The clothes are very nice thick quality and look very good on this Ken doll. I definitely recommend this Ken. He is very unique and distinctive. Beautiful quality and features.

Beautiful sewn hair

My daughter and son were so excited for their new Ken doll. He came looking ready for a trip to the beach in their Barbie Jeep! He has long hair that definitely looks like he’s had a surf session after my kids play with him! ;-) He is made very sturdily and has added another dynamic to our pretend play. He is enjoying his new home at the Barbie Dream house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A Beachy Kind of Ken

His hair is long and coarse. His legs are cheap plastic, worst I've seen. However, I think the long hair is hilarious! My granddaughter said in a laughing voice that he is terrible. She is 7. I am sure we will have lots of fun with him.

The doll is fine, except for terribly stiff hair.  I'm not sure why, since the female dolls don't seem to have this problem.  It's like some sticky substance was left in his hair to dry (like hairspray, as another commentator noted).  I'd brush it to break it up, but am afraid I'd pull the hair out in the process.

Stiff hair

I’m shocked at how stiff this dolls hair is. The photo is of this doll upside down. Maybe Ken found a bottle of hair spray while on quarantine inside Walmart . This is unreal, but makes for a ton of laughter. He came with cute shorts/shoes/tie dye shirt.
